My career began in Sales, Account Management and Business Development with companies including Prudential, JP Morgan…

This was followed by several freelance and permanent roles in Marketing, Branding, Event/Project Management, & Graphic Design in one form or another for over 10 years.

I have gained knowledge in managing projects, negotiating contracts/suppliers agreements, and developed relevant skills such as promoting, marketing and finding sponsors. My aim and career ambitions are to become involved in more complex and high profile marketing/brand activities and events.

I have been working for Coffee Republic PLC for 2 years as a Marketing & Brand Executive managing large scale marketing and adverting campaigns in national newspapers to gain brand exposure, increase footfall in the stores and leverage incremental revenue. I also was responsible for all POS artwork and visuals. Portfolio available upon request.

I worked closely with suppliers and big brands including Cadburys, PepsiCo, Delice de France developing and supporting new projects and concepts. I also managed all advertising and promotion of the franchise and concessions sides of the business on a daily basis and at both national and local level.

I am loyal, extremely driven, tough and passionate about everything I do. I am determined to achieve my goals whatever it takes. I have intuition and an unbounded imagination to make things happen.

The rent + bills:
Rent is £570 pcm (=£131.50 pw) + council tax, electricity, gas, water, broadband/phone, i.e. the usual bills. Security deposit £657 (=5 weeks rent).

The flat is through an agency, so your references need to be checked before moving in and they take £75 for it. This is a new flatshare, so I’m taking care of broadband connection fees, painting, washing machine etc – I hope this makes up for the agency fee, which unfortunately can’t be avoided.

The room:
Double bed room with good size built-in cupboard and wood laminate floor. Unfurnished.

The flat:
Spacious part-furnished 2 bedroom flat with balcony, large living room with beautiful albeit non-working fireplace, kitchen (fits table + chairs), separate bathroom & toilet, balcony (fits table + chairs), wood laminate floors, gas central heating, TV with Freeview, broadband + landline will be installed within the next 3-7 days.

Location:
Zone 2, between Hackney Central and Hackney Downs stations, just off Amhurst Road. Superb bus and overground connections. Several shops and a large Tesco right around the corner. 10 min walk to Hackney Downs park or London Fields park. I’ve been walking home very late at night a few times and feel safe, the streets are well-lit and Amhurst Road is busy even at night. The house has a secure entry system and it’s very visible from the street, i.e. no dark corners.

You:
A creative professional or otherwise creative-minded. Your personality is more important than your profession though, if we like each other the room is yours. I would love a tranny but they seem to be hard to come by. I’d be more than happy with a homo, or a lady – not so keen on a straight man but try me, I’m flexible. Nice, reliable, relaxed, funny, clean. Not too ‘normal’ please, but still well-behaved and considerate.

Me:
Female fashion designer, 35. I work regular hours, 9.30 am to 6 pm and tend to be home at around 7.30 pm if I don’t meet friends. I don’t want a party flat, rather like having some nice dinners with good wine, good food and good company. I’ve just moved into the flat and need to find a great brand-spanking new flatmate. I’m flat share experienced, relaxed, funny, sarcastic, easy to get along with, open-minded, all-round amazing and wonderful to live with. You would also be sharing the flat with 2 small very lovely cats. I travel quite a bit for work, so a bit of kitty care would be coming your way when I’m away – if you don’t mind that is. For this you would have the luxury of having the flat all to yourself several weeks per year.

The room has white walls, as does the hallway. The rest of the flat is crazily painted at the moment, bathroom and toilet are orange, the kitchen is turquoise (yikes!) – I’ve started painting everything except the living room white. Securing new business:
• Commercial awareness of current marketplace
• Becoming familiar with the nature of a potential client’s products and services, business culture and competition and understanding the possibility of changes to these
• Setting up meetings with potential clients, and discussing the products, services and advertising requirements of each particular client
• Assistance with the formulation of marketing strategies

Maintaining clients
• Liaising with and maintaining regular contact
• Overseeing the status of advertising campaigns with the client and monitoring the effectiveness
• Handling budgets and managing campaign costs
• Writing reports, keeping records and financial details
• Undertaking administrative tasks
• Arranging and attending meetings and reporting on key decisions.
